Eased by Rain

I tear
And I cry
And I die inside
Trapped in this body of mine
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain

Me pɛ wo ayɛ yɛ musuo
Envy of another is a curse
You do not want this curse, trust me
Neither do I want yours
As the battle rages on
Soon to be won
For the sake of the cross
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain

One day the sun will shine again
The blood and the gore a forgotten stain
Only built up to face another plague
But also to enjoy the present day
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain

For the sake of the cross
I live day by day
The arm of flesh will fail me
The arm of flesh by default fails
But His blood was shed for me
In that lonely place on Calvary
His blood speaks better
Than that of Abel
Another cruelty
Of the life we live
Rejoicing in hope
Of what will be
Dancing in the future
Of divine release
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain

This sick and dreadful place
The stench overwhelms me
The rays of love penetrate this darkness
The cup of water, a plate of manna
The sweet aroma of His grace
Has found me
Even in this sick and dreadful place
I remain in grace as
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain

Praise to the God of our Fathers
The Son who shed His blood for me
The Spirit, the Comforter, the Friend
It is good, it is good
It is well with my soul
God is good, He is good
It IS well today with my soul
Who on earth is in control?
Praise Him, the one true God
With or without pain
With or without gain
I bow in worship to the King as
The clouds are heavy
And are eased by rain
